The PCTO “Missione Fisica” will convene for its second meeting on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the research area located on Via Pietro Castellino in Naples. In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, CNR INO, along with colleagues from CNR SPIN and ISASI, has organized an event specifically designed for students engaged in the PCTO program. The objective of this event is to encourage contemplation on the role of women in the field of science. As part of the program, the movie “Hidden Figures” will be screened, and two esteemed researchers will share their experiences in the scientific realm. Ilenia Picardi, a physicist and researcher at the Sociology department of the University of Naples Federico II, will deliver a talk titled “Crystal Labyrinths,” while Chiara Vassillo, a researcher at CNR-IRSPP, will present on the topic of “Women and the Energy Transition.”
