Castellammare di Stabia is located in the centre of the gulf of Naples and marks the beginning of the Sorrentine Peninsula. The city lies at the foot of the Faito Mountain and is just one hour by boat from Capri Island. Among the different municipalities, Castellammare di Stabia borders the cities of Pompeii and Gragnano (city of pasta&wine).
